The Lido project is part of the larger CMC Petržalka development. It draws on the legacy of the legendary Bratislava Lido and ambitiously transforms the area between the Danube and the Petržalka embankment into a modern urban district. It will provide housing for 10,000 residents, up to 17,000 jobs, extensive public spaces, a central park, a cultural square, and sports-recreational zones in cooperation with local water sports clubs. The new center will connect both banks of the river with a promenade bridge and mirrored public squares aligned with significant cultural buildings.
The project emphasizes high-quality public space — from the riverside park with a beach and lagoon, to new spatial typologies such as “bowls,” to a lively urban boulevard with trams, shops, and services. The plan also includes affordable housing, including municipal rental apartments, made possible through cooperation between the city and investors.
